Robby Overvliet
Co-founder – CCO
Agile coach and transformation lead who leverages AI to make organizations smarter, faster, and more human.
Robby Overvliet is an experienced Agile Coach, Transformation Lead, and consultant with over 20 years of experience in IT and organizational development. With a background as a software developer and project manager, he has guided a wide range of organizations over the past decade through large-scale agile transformations and implementations.
He has worked with boards, leadership teams, and teams in diverse sectors such as education, retail, and financial services. His focus is on improving collaboration, accelerating value creation, and embedding continuous learning. As a coach and trainer, he has supported hundreds of professionals in Scrum, SAFe, and Lean—always with a pragmatic approach and an eye for both people and results.
Together with his brother Fred and business partner René Dekkers, Robby previously built AgileNav Academy, a platform for interactive online and offline agile training. Building on that experience, he now focuses with aiway5 on the next step: AI not as hype, but as a strategic tool for (management) teams. Think of AI agents that think along, retain context, and act as an additional member of the leadership team.
His strength lies in combining deep knowledge of IT and data with strong coaching and connecting skills, enabling him to make complex transitions tangible and workable.

Rene Dekkers
Co-founder – CTO
Software architect with 30+ years of experience, now focused on applying AI systems for SMEs.
René Dekkers is an experienced lead developer and software architect with over 30 years of experience in the software industry, specializing in telecommunications, GPS tracking, and real-time data processing. He designs and develops scalable, event-driven platforms and mobile applications using technologies such as .NET, C#, Azure, Docker, and modern cloud-native architectures.
René has played a key role in the development of several commercial GPS platforms, including back-end services, web portals, and mobile apps used daily by thousands of users. His work spans both system architecture and hands-on implementation, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security.
In addition, René is the creator of AgileNav, an interactive learning app that provides insights into agile methodologies such as Scrum, Lean, and Change Management. He also co-developed the eduScrum app in collaboration with Willy Wijnands, bringing agile learning into the education sector.
In recent years, René has actively focused on the application of artificial intelligence in software development and business operations. He experiments with AI integrations such as virtual assistants, natural language processing (NLP), AI-assisted code analysis, and decision support systems. He also explores how LLMs can be combined with event sourcing and domain-driven design (DDD). His goal is to build practical, scalable AI-powered solutions — especially for small and medium-sized businesses.

Fred Overvliet
Co-founder – Creative Director
Fred excels at translating ideas and strategies into powerful concepts and creative communication.
Fred Overvliet is a creative entrepreneur, art director, and illustrator with over 25 years of experience in branding, design, and digital communication. After a long career as an art director at various advertising agencies, where he created work for leading brands such as de Bijenkorf, Nikon, and Fortis ASR, he founded his own agency Versgeplukt in 2009. From Haarlem, he helps organizations with branding, identity, design, and online marketing—always with a sharp eye for detail and a creative twist.
Alongside his work at Versgeplukt, Fred is also active as a freelance illustrator and animator, specializing in animations, vector art, and explanimations. He was previously co-founder of AppMonkeys, an agency for creative apps and digital solutions, where technology and creativity came together.
Fred is known for his ability to connect strategy with creativity and transform abstract ideas into compelling visuals and concepts. His style is down-to-earth, solution-oriented, and always focused on impact.
